Advanced Wilderness First Aid Bridge to Wilderness First Responder (5 Days)

The Advanced Wilderness First Aid to Wilderness First Responder 5-Day course takes the AWFA and focuses in more detail on long term care and leadership in the Wilderness. After course completion students are WRF-certified, the standard for outdoor leadership especially on extended trips. NOC has partnered with SOLO to offer some of the most innovative wilderness medicine training in the United States. This 'bridge' course offers the opportunity for more in-depth information on trauma and medical injuries seen in the backcountry. A strong focus is put on scenarios to give students lots of opportunity to practice their skills and get feedback from instructors and fellow classmates. The certification is a must-have for trip leaders and outdoor professionals and is good for three years.
