Paddle Glacial Lakes and Fjords

Chilean Patagonia is widely accepted as one of the most breathtaking places on the planet. As the Andes mountains descend into the Pacific Ocean, an awe-inspiring wonderland of glacial lakes and archipelagos are created. This area is home to a large array of marine flora and fauna. Explore these lakes, fjords and tiny islands the only way possible - from the seat of a sea kayak.

On the first day, we'll familiarize ourselves with the boats and equipment on a pristine alpine lake hidden in the Andes Mountains. Once we're comfortable with the boats, we'll begin a multi-day crossing of a large glacial lake, spending our nights camping in this Andean paradise. We'll return from our first multi-day trip to a bed and breakfast to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy superb Chilean wine.

The next day's itinerary is flexible. Hiking, horseback riding or rafting on the legendary Rio Futaleufu are all popular choices. We'll then kick off another multi-day trip that will lead us into remote, pristine waters along the Chilean coastline. Expect to see many marine birds and mammals living in these secluded and unspoiled waters. After two days viewing dolphins, sea-lions, and penguins, we'll paddle back to civilization for a final night soaking in soothing hot springs.
