During his tenure at NOC, Chris has done it all. He has guided on all of our Southeastern rivers, including the newly-flowing Cheoah. He has taught canoe and kayak courses for our Paddling School and has lead many of our international Adventure Travel trips. Chris moved to the Bryson City area in 1999 and now doubles as the operations manager for both the Paddling School and Adventure Travel departments. Chris's interests span quite a large spectrum, like most of the folks drawn to NOC.

Chris is a member of the advisory council for the SETH group, a nonprofit organization seeking a cure for cancer through frontier science. (www.sethgroup.org) He and his wife Anne built a three-story timber frame house where they now reside. He was a counselor/teacher at Eckerd Family Youth Alternatives, a wilderness group therapy program.
