Join our friendly instructors for a half-day of exploring on a quiet section of Fontana Lake, where plants and animals abound. Splashing and swimming encouraged! We also include a tasty snack to help keep your energy levels high.

Explore calm waters and see incredible wildlife in an easy-to-paddle recreational kayak. This is a great outdoor adventure for the whole family, open to children as young as four. We'll explore a quiet section of Fontana Lake, where plants and animals abound. Learn about the natural history of the area while you paddle a stable, recreational kayak. Delight in sightings of a great blue heron, red tail hawk, pileated woodpecker, osprey and more!

No paddling experiencing is necessary. We'll show you how to make your boat slip quietly through the water to experience the thrill of nature at its most beautiful in the Nantahala National Forest.

Note: To give you the best possible experience, these courses are dependent on lake levels.
