One of the most popular and rewarding activities you can experience in the outdoors is fishing a cool mountain stream. NOC is now offering guided fly fishing trips on the Nantahala and other rivers with our local expert, fishing guide J.E.B. Hall. When you fish with a guide, you gain access to hidden creeks, streams and holes in addition to tips vital to a successful outing.

Trip Options

Trips are for one or two people and include all necessary gear except flies. Full day trips include lunch.

	Half Day Wade Trips Our half day fishing adventures last 4-5 hours and introduce our guests to a variety of local streams. These trips are perfect for first timers who want give fishing a try without committing an entire day or the avid angler who has a short window to get out on the water. Half days are also a great alternative for our guests who might not be up for the thrill of whitewater.
	Cost: $200

	Full Day Wade Trips Full day wade trips last about eight hours. Full days can be great for fishing two different streams, learning multiple sections of one stream, or morning instruction followed by afternoon fishing. If you like to do a little hiking to get to the fish we can accommodate you on a full day.
	Cost: $350

	Half Day Float Trips Want to enjoy fishing from a boat but can't fit a full day of fishing into your schedule? Our ½ day floats are perfect for you. These 4-5 hour trips are available on the Nantahala, French Broad, Little Tennessee, and Tuckaseegee only.
	Cost: $325

	Full Day Floats Full day floats are the best way to make the most of your fishing day. Our full days are from 7-9 hours in length and are available on a variety of rivers in our area. Floating allows you to cover more water and cast to more fish than any wade fisherman could, all from the comfort of a drift boat or raft. For those of you who like to get your feet wet, don't worry, we stop and wade fish along the way too!
	Cost: $400

	Fly Fishing Instruction Learn fly casting, knot tying, rigging, aquatic entomology and water reading skills. Up to four people per instructor.
	Cost: $50/hour, up to 4 people

Our guide staff has decades of fishing experience in western NC and east TN. Led by veteran guide, author and Bryson City native J.E.B. Hall, our guide staff's goal is to make sure that you have a fun and enjoyable day.
