This year, the NOC Freestyle Shootout will count for the National Freestyle Points system. We will be adding information about the shootout as soon as we have it, so stay tuned!

New Spring Date, National Circuit Status

NOC once again hosts the Freestyle Shootout, Saturday and Sunday April 17-18, 2010 at Nantahala Outdoor Center. 2009's event was a huge success, both on and off the water. Thanks to everyone involved, and thanks to Andrew Holcombe and Tommy Yon for one of the most compelling showdowns in freestyle history. Read about it here.

Competition Format:
Hole time is limited to 90 seconds per ride.
Three rides Saturday, August 1 (Qualifier/Elimination)
Three rides Sunday, August 2 (Finals - top six in each division)
Must have five contestants in each division for prizes.
Two-day event open entry $40.
Maximum 100 contestants.

Additional Attainment Race
At halftime on Sunday, there will be an Attainment Race from River's End Restaurant, upstream to Nantahala Falls and back to the NOC takeout. This will run boater-cross style. Register for the attainment race on Sunday at the event bridge.

Walk-up and register at the NOC Outfitter's Store Friday (July 31st ) from 4-8 PM, and Saturday
(Aug 1st ) before the event from 7:30-8:30 AM.

For Your Listening Pleasure:
DJ Terrence Young will spin durring the event's competition from the judges' bridge.
Pierce Edens & the Dirty Work will play The Pourover on Saturday evening. Guitarist Drew Fowler will start things off at the Pub around 5pm.
