NOC's Great Outpost combines Gatlinburg's colorful, exciting atmosphere with the Smoky Mountains' aura of splendor and adventure. At this new, must-see attraction, we'll provide the assistance, gear and services you need to maximize your enjoyment of the area's outdoor wonders. Whether your idea of outdoor adventure is an open-window drive or a multi-day backcountry trek, we'll share our knowledge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and recommend specific adventures that fit your style of exploring.

NOC's Great Outpost is located at Gatlinburg's entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In fact, we are the park's next-door neighbors.

Our staff know the outdoors. Either they've lived near the Smokies for years, they're passionate about outdoor recreation or both. They know outdoor gear because they use it, and they know the Smokies because the mountains are their playground.

At our in-store Basecamp we'll help you plan your Smokies adventure. Want to find a good view, waterfall or day hike? Stop here first. We'll also show you a range of guided tour options—from guided hikes to fly fishing and whitewater rafting. You're on vacation, and we're at work; make us do the planning.

Our LEED-certified store is worth exploring too! We offer all the outdoor essentials and apparel you might need to enjoy the outdoors alongside cool in-store attractions like an indoor climbing wall, a free kids play area and a Smokies-style swinging rope bridge.
