Itinerary
Although each class varies with the needs and desires of the group, the following is an example of your itinerary:

Friday
Friday evening starts with dinner at Relia's Garden Restaurant where you will meet your instructors and the others in your group. There, you'll get a chance to set goals with Anne and review the activities of the weekend.

Saturday
After breakfast, head to our equipment area and gear up in women-specific equipment. Then, the group will likely head out to the lake to perfect your Eskimo roll and develop some playboating techniques. Your group will then travel to the Nantahala River, a Class II - III run that will help you refine your whitewater skills. The group will have the opportunity to run Class III Nantahala Falls several times to build confidence paddling through a Class III rapid. Finish the day with dinner and the chance to share stories of the day's adventures at the Paddler's Pub.

Sunday
Today, your group will have options for further fun and skill development. Some groups want to stay on the Nantahala to maximize their time on the water, while others prefer to head out to more challenging rivers such as the French Broad or the Ocoee. At the end of the day you'll return to Relia's Garden for a delicious farewell dinner and receive one of the coveted NOC Instruction t-shirts before saying goodbye to your new friends.

We focus on your safety while teaching you how to manage unforeseen challenges on the water. During our river time over the weekend, we'll have the opportunity to paddle on Class III-III+ rapids. If you are not sure how rapids are classified, visit the AW International Scale of River Difficulty page.
