A Word From Our President

New Adventures for 2010

Welcome to another year of excitement on and off the water! From our headquarters on the Nantahala to our brand new retail attraction in downtown Gatlinburg and all outposts in between, we're bundled up, working hard and crossing off the days until spring comes to the Southeast.

This winter, we've been busy putting the final touches on our biggest project to date, the opening of our 18,000-square-foot LEED-certified retail space on the Gatlinburg strip. NOC's Great Outpost sits adjacent to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance and our aim is to become the outdoor activities hub on the west side of the Smokies.

NOC will also offer exciting new programs this year including a Fly Fishing School, a newly-redesigned online gear shop and a wilderness survival skills course. We've also improved our online reseravations system, making it a snap to book your adventure from home. Raft Guide School is just a few weeks out, meaning rafting season is right around the corner. I hope we'll see you on the river soon!
