Outdoor Adventures Beyond Rafting
NOC has been the leader in whitewater adventures since 1972, but we also lead trips off the water too! These activities are a great way to complement your raft trip with NOC, and most are easily accessible from our Nantahala River Adventure Resort. National Park Adventures
Get to know your public lands! Hike, fish and raft in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with NOC's guided national park adventures.
Train Excursions
Travel the scenic Nantahala Gorge on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, and travel into a bygone era. A great family activity.
Jet Boat Rides
Go for a spin on Fontana Lake on a Smoky Mountain Jet Boat Ride. Add some fast and fun adventure to your Smokies visit.
Hiking
Explore waterfall hikes or sweeping vistas when you hike the trails of Great Smoky Mountains National Park or Nantahala National Forest.
Mountain Biking
Take on NOC's Flint Ridge Trail or tackle the terrain at Tsali Recreation Area. Bike rentals and repair shop at NOC.
Lake Kayaking
Tour a scenic section of Fontana Lake in a stable, easy-to-paddle recreational kayak. Go with an NOC guide or rent your own craft.
River Float Trips
Available on the Pigeon and Nolichucky Rivers, float trips are open to kids as young as 3 years old. Float, splash and play on a quiet section of river.

NOC's Adventure Travel department offers photo, kayaking and multi-sport adventures in countries around the world, since 1972.
