| NOC recently partnered with Road Scholar (formerly Elderhostel) to offer lifelong learning programs at our home on the Nantahala River. Through this partnership, two adventure itineraries are available: |
| Get Outdoors in the Great Smoky Mountains |
| This five-day itinerary includes guided hiking, guided mountain biking, a day of guided fly fishing and a whitewater rafting trip on the Nantahala River, one of America's favorite whitewater runs. Each day of activity is open to participats of all levels. All the gear you'll need to enjoy a safe outdoor adventure is included, as well as transportation to the various outdoor trails and sites. |

| Whitewater Adventure in the Great Smoky Mountains |
| Spend five days in fun, whitewater activities, combined with great area hikes in the Nantahala National Forest. Spend a day exploring Fontana Lake in a touring kayak. Take a whitewater rafting trip on the Nantahala River, and hike to Wesser Bald where you'll be treated to 360-degree views. You'll even get to try your hand a whitewater kayaking, with a day of instruction from the nation's top paddling instructors.
