Have an All-American Good Time in the Gorge

Head to the mountains this July 4th weekend, and enjoy a summer classic with NOC. There's something fun for everyone to enjoy in the Nantahala Gorge! Cool off with a family-friendly raft trip down the Nantahala or a with a lake kayak tour on beautiful Lake Fontana. Looking for a new challenge? Take a kayak class and learn something new from our award-winning instructors.

NOC also offers bike rentals, convenient access to hiking trails, and plenty of onshore entertainment with live music at Slow Joe's Cafe. Plus, thrillseekers won't want to miss the new Zip Line Adventure Park. The summer is hoppin' at Nantahala Outdoor Center!

Enjoy treats from our new menu at Slow Joe's Cafe, featuring, summertime favorites like fish tacos and chili cheese dogs, as well as live music and riverside microbrews! Don't miss specialty beer tastings with regional breweries, enjoy live music on the patio, and let the holiday take care of itself.

Events at NOC's Adventure Course Complex

Looking to try something a little different? NOC is offering special Alpine Tower samplers Wednesday and Friday evening, from 5:30pm-7:30pm. The Alpine Tower is usually open only to large groups, so don't miss this special opportunity to try out this fun, challenging team-building experience with your family and friends. Only $30/per person. Get your climb on!

Alpine Tower climbers must be at least 7 years old to participate. Any climber under 18 will require a parent's signature. Check-in for each activity is half an hour before the time listed above. Climbers should check-in at the NOC Adventure Center. Be sure to bring a camera, and remember that all climbers MUST wear closed-toe shoes.
