NOC's Spring Cleaning
Spring 2012

NOC's Watershed Week

A Hands-On Approach to Environmental Awareness

NOC believes in taking care of our outdoor playgrounds. That's why we organize service and learning oriented events at NOC Wesser, as well as at our rafting outposts. This spring, we'll be hosting river cleanups on the French Broad, near Asheville, NC, and on the Chattooga River, near Clayton, GA, as well as community-oriented watershed health projects at the Nantahala. We're also helping to organize maintenence hikes along nearby sections of the Appalachian Trail, so come out and give back to the places you love!

Plus, this April, NOC in partnership with the NC Science Festival invites you to hear experts share their knowledge about water hydraulics and local flora.

Stay tuned for more ways to get involved in community outreach activities at the Nantahala and other NOC outposts.
