NOC Basecamp and Camping
Spend the night where the Appalachian Trail hikers stay!BasecampShared bunk lodging with electricity, baseboard heat and fans. Very basic and very affordable. Basecamp accommodates up to 86 people in 7 buildings. There are 22 rooms that house anywhere from 2 to 8 people on twin mattresses (linens are not provided). A shared community building with a full kitchen (dishes, utensils and cookware not provided), dining hall, and charcoal grill are available to guest's staying in Basecamp. All Basecamp guests have access to coin operated laundry facilities located on opposite end of General Store on Main Campus. Handicap accessible units are available as well as the community building, facilities and restrooms.
Platform TentsNOC makes group camping easy! Sturdy wooden platforms are enclosed with heavy-duty canvas for a rustic camping experience. The platform tents are tucked in a quiet corner of NOC's main campus on the Nantahala River with a campfire pit nearby. Portable toilets are available at the campsite with flush toilets and pay showers (April-October) a short distance away. Platform tents are for groups of 10 or more and only one group is permitted at a time. Guests must provide their own sleeping bags and pads. Platform tents accommodate up to 26 persons. The site max is 40 persons including the platform tents and personal tents. $8 per person per night for both platform tent and personal tent camping. |
