Panama: Creek Week
Advanced Kayak

October 27 - November 4, 2007
$1,575

Spend a week paddling the best creeks in Panama the paddling jewel of Central America which is quickly becoming the "must do" destination for advanced boaters from around the world

We have taken the best rivers of Panama and put together one of the best "creeking" type trips anywhere. This trip will offer top notch instruction to help improve your ability to paddle on steep, technical water. Then you get to put your skills to the test on some of the best creeks in the world!

Undeveloped, uncrowded and unmatched in beauty and natural wonder, Panama is Central America's hidden gem. Panama was the undiscovered paddling gem of Central America, but not anymore! Over the past few years, NOC has paddled, explored and come to appreciate the warm and unspoiled beauty of the tropical paddlers paradise.

Being in a volcanic and geologically young area, the rivers here tend to be a combination of boulder gardens and bedrock (often lava flows). The wettest month of the year is October, and our trips are timed to take advantage of the best of the rainy season and the beginning of the dry season in order to offer you a variety of exciting runs. The rivers we will be paddling are primarily in the Chiriqui province, bordering Costa Rica and the Pacific Ocean. They have relatively small watersheds compared to the United States, but often hold high volume runs due to the heavy rains of 120 to 200 inches annually. The upper sections of these rivers are steep, continuous and technical in the upper reaches. Join us for creeking at it's finest!
