Nolichucky Outpost Information

NOC's Nolichucky Outpost in Erwin, TN is a cool oasis of shade on the banks of the Nolichucky River. Since our outpost is at the takeout, you ride a bus only once.

Onsite Facilities Include:

• changing and restrooms
• hot showers
• a riverside sauna
• the outpost store carries t-shirts, snacks, drinks, sunblock and other sundres
• digital slideshow of your rafting photos

NOC's Nolichucky River Manager

Mark Gray Nolichucky River Manager Nolichucky's Mark Gray came to NOC from his hometown in Texas and has over 25 years of recreational paddling experience. Mark began his career with NOC back in 1995 as a dishwasher at Relia's Garden Restaurant on the banks of the Nantahala River where he continued his love of paddling on a daily basis. He quickly accelerated to guiding on the Nolichucky in 1996 and has been officially trained and certified on all seven rivers that NOC rafts on.  He is also a tenured trip leader on six of the seven rivers and was head guide on the Ocoee River from 2007-2010.  Mark is also one of our top NOC Canoe Instructors and has guided multiple trips down the Grand Canyon.  Mark spends his time off the Nolichucky traveling, paddling and pursueing the dream.
