Ocoee River rafting means splashy waves and continuous action—that's why we call it the "Ocoee Coaster!" The Middle Ocoee River is the nation's most popular whitewater rafting run, while the Upper Ocoee boasts Class IV whitewater of 1996 Olympic fame. From beginning to end, this east Tennessee river's fast-moving waters will get you soaked, smiling and laughing. The Ocoee is a dam-released river with consistent flows and pleasantly warm water, every Thursday through Monday.

Ocoee River Rafting Trips

Middle Ocoee River
The exciting Middle Ocoee raft trip begins against the roaring backdrop of whitewater falling down Ocoee Dam #2, with the explosive entrance rapid called "Grumpy's." The action hardly slows down during this five-mile stretch of whitewater. Highlights include negotiating major Class III and IV rapids with names like Table Saw, Broken Nose, Double Trouble, Double Suck and Powerhouse. Minimum age to participate is 12 years old.

Upper/Middle Ocoee Combo

The Ocoee Combo whitewater trip adds five miles of world-class whitewater to the already-loaded Middle Ocoee trip. Featuring the 1996 Olympic Canoe and Kayak course, the Upper Ocoee doubles the fun with Olympic caliber thrills! They weren't kidding when they named one of this section's rapids "Humongous!" Minimum age to participate is 13 years old.

	Ocoee Combo Trip 8.5 Miles/4 Hours on the River Experience this full day Tennessee favorite that will leave you with all smiles. A riverside snack enhances the experience.
	Ocoee Middle Trip 4.5 Miles/1.5 Hours on the River This half day trip will give you a great taste of classic class III/IV rapids.

NEW Activities at NOC's Ocoee Outpost

New! Rafting guests can now book afternoon activities to creat a complete day of adventure. Add a high ropes climbing or paintball session at our Horn's Creek Facility. Book these activities over the phone, or by choosing "Ocoee River" activities on our reservations widget, at the right.

	High Ropes Adventure The unique High Ropes Adventure Course at Horn's Creek is fun for everyone age 12 and up. Highlights include a 50-foot climbing wall, a 1000-foot, two-person zip line and a giant swing that drops 40 feet. No prior experience is necessary. Max weight for swing and wall is 240 lbs, 220 for zip line.
	Paintball Two paintball fields on three acres of terrain are perfect for participants age 12 and up. We supply paintball guns, masks CO2 and paint. Please bring protective clothing and leave your own paintball guns at home. No prior experience is necessary to play.
	Mountain biking and hiking on the nearby Tanasi Trails System, at Ocoee Olympic Whitewater Park are also popular self-guided activities for adventure seekers.
